ISOpass Max

  • Grade 304 or 316 active transfer hatch
  • Wall-mounted design – fixed securely into the cleanroom wall to allow hands-free material transfer between rooms while minimising floor space usage
  • HEPA-filtered fan filter unit (FFU) – integrated HEPA filtration system actively purges the internal chamber with clean air, removing airborne particles before or during transfer
  • Mechanical or electro-mechanical interlock system – ensures only one door can be opened at a time, preventing cross-contamination and preserving pressure differentials between clean zones
  • Flexible, user-centric design – custom dimensions and optional features allow you to de-sign a solution that works best for your process, space and handling needs
  • Description

ISOpass Max is a top-tier active cleanroom pass-through hatch, constructed from stainless steel grade 316 or 304, designed for the safe and efficient transfer of equipment and essential items within controlled environments.

Created to minimise the risk of movement, microbial contamination, or pressure drops between classified zones, ISOpass Max includes a HEPA fan filter unit (FFU) integrated into the roof panel. This system generates unidirectional airflow inside the chamber, actively extracting particulates and contaminants from transferred items. Ideal for transitions between sterile and non-sterile or cleanroom-to-cleanroom spaces.

Made from premium stainless steel, the hatch offers easy-clean surfaces, a contamination-control interlock system, and customisable features to suit your cleanroom facility’s requirements.

    • 304 or 316 grade stainless steel construction – highly durable, corrosion-resistant and cleanroom-compliant material that supports frequent disinfection and sterilisation
    • Double-skin fabrication – provides a smooth, crevice-free surface for enhanced hygiene and effortless cleaning, helping meet strict GMP and ISO standards
    • Optional sliding door mechanism – available on one or both sides to optimise space efficiency and operator convenience, especially useful in confined corridors or busy zones
    • Long-term cost efficiency – stainless steel durability, combined with low-maintenance construction, results in a longer product life and reduced total cost of ownership

FAQS

Want to know more about how the ISOpass Max might benefit your controlled environment facility management? Click the plus symbols (right) to check out some of the most Frequently Asked Questions related to this product!

  • What makes it “active” compared to other pass-through hatches?

Unlike passive hatches, the ISOpass Max has an integrated HEPA-filtered ventilation system that delivers unidirectional airflow inside the chamber. This actively removes airborne particles, improving contamination control during material transfer.

  • When should I choose ISOpass Max over ISOpass Pro or Plus?

Choose ISOpass Max when your process requires maximum contamination control, such as transferring sterile equipment, tools, or products between zones of different cleanliness classifications or between sterile and non-sterile areas.

  • What grades of stainless steel are available?

    You can choose between:

304-grade: Corrosion-resistant, suitable for most cleanroom environments

316-grade: Offers superior resistance to harsh disinfectants, chlorides, and corrosive agents — ideal for more demanding environments

  • How does the HEPA system work?

The integrated fan filter unit draws air into the chamber, passes it through a HEPA filter, and directs clean, particle-free air over the items being transferred. This helps maintain cleanliness standards and minimise microbial contamination.

  • What is the long-term cost benefit?

While it’s a premium model, ISOpass Max’s stainless steel durability, low-maintenance design, and contamination-control performance help reduce replacement and downtime costs over its service life.
